For Her to Read by Renee Klein

When I wake up everyday to see your beautiful smile, it's like I'm in a different world. I reach out to grab your tiny hand and you look me in the eyes and giggle to yourself.

I want to tell you everything I'm feeling, but you're too little to understand. I want to tell you that I look forward to everyday with you. I look forward to spending every minute of my life teaching you new things, and bringing you to new places. If I could, I would tell you that you mean more to me then I ever thought someone could.

I've never felt love like this, never felt this kind of emotion, before I met you. Every day spent with you is a gift, and I want to let you know this. Because, no matter how hard it gets, and how little money we have, we always have each other. You've instilled in me so much; understanding, patience, love, and peace. Before you came, I was never happy with myself, and I wasn't ever sure why. You filled whatever void was missing in my life, Charlie, and I want to thank you for that.

I never knew so much about myself, till you were here. I never loved my life more, since you came. Thank you for choosing me. Every single tear I cry is worth it. Every ache and pain that comes, I learn to deal with, because you're here with me.

I have never known someone so much and loved every little thing about them like I do you. You've taught me so much, Charlie. Even if I have to do it alone, I'll take care of you. Even if we have to struggle, I'll push a lil' more, to try and bring you up as best as I can. Because you deserve the best. Nothing less. I used to think the best was a huge home, with a full time daddy, and money and your own crib to sleep in. But I learned life's not always like that. I will strive to be the best for you, not because I have too, but because want to.

I'll never turn my back on you, never push you aside for some guy, or leave you home to go out everyday. I want to experience everything life has in store for us; together. Because although people may think it, you aren't a mistake. You are so far from a mistake. You were meant to be. You were given to me as a gift, not a burden. And I couldn't have asked for anything better. You are my life, my love, my happiness, my pain, everything; that is what you are to me. I would give up this whole world in a heartbeat for you, and hopefully, you'll see this someday, and know how much I love you.

I hope that you will know that even though you may not have the picture perfect family, you have someone that loves you unconditionally, and will never abandon you, for anything. And, one day, you'll look at me, and I'll look at you, and we will realize that we'll make it in this world, you and me, together. You were meant to be, you were meant for me, and I'll make sure you know that. And when you can understand me, I'll thank you, for being my everything, I love you Charlie.

Love, Mommy
